Cleverly Stone launched Houston Restaurant Weeks in 2003 as an initiative aligned with its mantra of “dine out and do good.”
Nearly two decades later, the annual fundraiser has raised more than $16.6 million and helped provide more than 50 million meals through its support of the Houston Food Bank, according to the Houston website. Restaurant Weeks.

The Houston Restaurant Weeks founder and host of the cooking talk radio show The Cleverly Show on CBS Sports Radio 650/KIKK-AM, died of cancer in 2020 at the age of 68. Today, his daughter Katie Stone continues her legacy as Chair of the Houston Restaurant Weeks Board of Directors.
Houston Restaurant Weeks, which runs from August 1 through September 5, invites restaurants across greater Houston — including establishments in the Spring area — to offer meals at special prices. The number of meals the restaurant sells determines the donations it makes to the cause.

In addition to Harris County, the initiative has participating restaurants in Galveston and Montgomery counties. Galveston and Montgomery county food banks are among Houston Restaurant Weeks Food Bank’s partner distribution organizations, the website explains. Food donated to food banks in Galveston and Montgomery counties is donated to nonprofit organizations that distribute to food-insecure customers in the Houston Food Bank service area.
Last year’s Houston Restaurant Weeks resulted in a donation of more than $900,000, which was donated to the Houston Food Bank last December, the Houston Chronicle reported.

BRIX offers a wide selection of wines and dishes.
According to its website, BRIX has more than 2,500 bottles of wine. The dinner menu offers a variety of options from soups and salads to pizzas and pork chops.

In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Wheel Kitchen has a coffee bar, its own craft beers, and a variety of goodies.
