Ami Organics Q2 PAT up 14.78% yoy to Rs17.47cr despite pressures from rising raw material and inventory costs

Ami Organics Ltd reported 33.99% growth in total revenues for the September 21 quarter on a consolidated basis to Rs122.31cr. Revenue increased 8.11% on a sequential basis from revenue of Rs113.13cr in the June 21 quarter.

Consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the September 21 quarter increased 14.78% to Rs17.47cr. Profits increased 27.24% from earnings for the sequential quarter.

EBIT performance should have been much better, but the organic industry is plagued by 2 issues viz. higher raw material costs and higher funds stuck in inventory.

Net margins at 14.28% were below 16.67% year-on-year, but they were certainly more impressive compared to 12.14% in the sequential quarter of June 2021.
