Christian McCaffrey: 3 teams who could trade for the Panthers running back | FanSide
Christian McCaffrey business partner n ° 3: Kansas City Chiefs
the Kansas City Chiefs offense is back on track this season after a slow start, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be looking to improve their roster. While they can add talent to the draft, there is also room for McCaffrey in their offense.
A double threat that can hurt teams in the passing game as much as in the running game, McCaffrey would add another element to an already dangerous attack.
Yes, it’s true that the Chiefs already have Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but he hasn’t really proven himself a transcendent star yet. In 2021, he’s averaging just over 50 yards per game on the ground and 12.9 in the air.
McCaffrey would be risky due to the injury issues, but the fact that they have another capable back could help them feel confident to take the bet.
Chiefs linked with young star seeking ‘fresh start’ in 2022 | Lourd.com
Steve Wyche of NFL Network said he believes Ridley and Atlanta are looking for a “fresh start.”
” I think so. The fact that he and the team have been so quiet and he hasn’t resurfaced, it looks like both sides might be looking for a fresh start, âWyche told 92.9 The Game.
Justin Melo of the Draft Network has named three teams he believes should be interested in trading the Alabama product, and names the Kansas City Chiefs as one of them. This is, of course, in the expectation that Ridley wants to continue playing in the NFL.
âSticking to the ever-competitive AFC West, Kansas City’s offense would benefit greatly from the addition of another talented passing catching weapon to help support Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce,â Melo wrote. âTalks about acquiring a legitimate No.2 wide receiver across from Hill have been rampant over the past few seasons, but general manager Brett Veach has struggled to do so while dealing with salary cap issues in due to a plethora of talented players on both sides of the ball (that’s a good problem to have).
Can the Broncos beat the Chiefs? | Mile High Report (Denver Broncos SB Nation site)
3rd and 3
Since Von Miller’s trade, the Broncos’ pass rush is extremely reliant on Fangio to generate pressure, which could be problematic against a QB that no one blitzes smart. What can Denver do to slow down Mahomes?
Children: Everything Vic Fangio has done in the past against Patrick Magomes has apparently worked – certainly in the eyes of the scoreboard. Every time these two teams play, Broncos fans must come away frustrated because, in large part, the defense has done more than enough to put their team in a position to win. Unfortunately for the Broncos’ defense, the offense just hasn’t played up to its counterparts.
While I have to admit I’m intrigued to see what Denver throws at Mahomes in this particular game – when the first meeting took place, the Chiefs were in the midst of an offensive slump that seemed endless. Now that we’re on the back of four good Mahomes games, it’ll be interesting to see if Denver can find similar success.
Statistics to know: Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has accumulated 59 receiving yards combined in his last two games, his second fewest in two games in the past five seasons. But Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce had three touchdowns during that span. His career high for a three-game spell is four.

Melvin Ingram was an apt option at the limit, which allowed Chris Jones to return to a more natural role. Ingram turns 33 this spring, so Ojabo would be a welcome infusion of youth as Kansas City seeks a suitable future.

âI hope I speak for everyone, but for me, I’m not even going to watch anything,â said Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. âI hope the televisions are all turned off. Hope no one is watching, and hope our goal is to win the football game. What if we can stick with that and someone walks up to me and says, “Hey, we’re in it,” Oh, okay, great. I still want to go and I still want to beat the Chargers. “
In its own way and that of the Rams this weekend is a 49ers defense that has allowed up the fifth fewest points per game (15.8) in the past four weeks. Niners defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans understands the challenge in front of his squad, acknowledging the unique chemistry between Kupp and quarterback Matthew Stafford. If the 49ers are to advance to the playoffs, the Ryans unit will need to find a way to contain the duo – as much as anyone can.
âI think these guys started to get along really well, started to solidify and they have a really good connection,â Ryans told reporters on Thursday. âThat’s why you’ve seen the success they have. Two smart players working together there, I have the utmost respect for Kupp, not only him in the passing game, but you see how he blocks in the running game. This is where it really makes me tip my hat at the guy. He’s not afraid to come in and block, that there’s a defensive end, that he’s a nickel, that there’s a linebacker he’ll get and block. And I really respect him for that.

With the situation involving his former organization still ongoing, it’s unclear what the next few months will hold for Brown in regards to his future in the NFL.

5 things to watch out for as the Chiefs take on the Broncos
2. Bring the Broncos to third place
The Broncos have had average quarterback play all season, but after the start Teddy Bridgewater has been placed on the injured list, the situation has worsened. It was former Denver starter in his place: sophomore shooter (and former Missouri star) Drew Lock.
With Lock taking the shots, Denver focused even more on running the ball to protect it – and that’s something they succeeded with against the Chiefs in Week 13. Denver totals 154 rushing yards – though they missed Melvin Gordon, who is one of their two starting backers.
Game-creator rookie Javonte Williams has done the brunt of the damage – and on Saturday he’ll have Gordon back to top it off.
Denver’s best chance of winning is to stay ahead of the sticks and pull through early runs – but if the Chiefs can slow down the ground game and get them to third, they’ll be in a great position: the Broncos have the league. Conversion rate in third place at 23rd place – including converting just four of their last 21 attempts.
