City of Kennesaw Joins Georgia Purchasing Group for Automated Distribution

Today, the City of Kennesaw officially joined the Georgia Purchasing Group to help streamline its bid and tender distribution process.

KENNESAW, Georgia (PRWEB) February 17, 2022

Today, the City of Kennesaw officially joined the Georgia Purchasing Group to help streamline its bid and tender distribution process. The Georgia Purchasing Group is one of bidnet’s regional direct purchasing groups that provides participating local government agencies with an e-procurement solution. The City of Kennesaw invites all vendors to register online with the Georgia Purchasing Group to access its upcoming solicitations by visiting http://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/cityofkennesaw.

With the Georgia Purchasing Group, suppliers sign up for access to a centralized location with opportunities from 21 participating agencies throughout Georgia. By posting upcoming solicitations on the regional buying group, rather than on its website, the Town of Kennesaw hopes to make its documents more easily accessible to more suppliers. They also hope to expand the reach of their solicitations to a more diverse pool of vendors. Unlike the previous process of only posting offers on a webpage, Georgia Purchasing Group provides a method to track all offer activity, including details of suppliers who have received or downloaded an offer.

“Sometimes posting an offer on our site just isn’t enough,” says James Friedrich, assistant clerk for the town of Kennesaw. “Publishing the offer for an entire regional community of suppliers will help us reach a wider variety of qualified local suppliers. We like that with the Georgia Purchasing Group, we can quantifiably track the level of diversity. “

The City of Kennesaw invites all local vendors to visit http://www.bidnetdirect.com/georgia/cityofkennesaw and register to gain access to its upcoming solicitations as well as upcoming bids and requests for proposals from 20 more public agencies participating in the Georgia Purchasing Grouper. Registered suppliers also have access to a team of experienced customer service representatives and can upgrade their service to receive personalized offer alerts, notice of futures contract expiration and notification of a recently released addendum.
