Farm Share Distributes Food to Food Insecure Floridians in the Jacksonville Area – Action News Jax

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Farm Share, one of Florida’s leading nonprofits and the state’s largest food bank, is distributing food to Floridians struggling with food insecurity this Saturday at the following locations:

  • Distribution of farm shares with the fire station Interlachen 17 8:00 a.m. while supplies last at 217 Kennedy Ave., Interlachen, Fla. 32148
  • Distribution of Farm Shares with American Legion Post 197 9:00 a.m. while supplies last at 2179 Benedict Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32209

Beneficiaries will receive fresh produce and non-perishable preserves. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, distributions are drive-thru only to minimize contact and to help keep all parties safe, and attendees must wear a mask and arrive in a vehicle with a trunk or loading area.


With more than 3.9 million food insecure families across Florida, Farm Share meets the daily food needs of Floridians by working hand-in-hand with local farmers to salvage and redistribute produce that would otherwise be thrown away due to aesthetic imperfections.
