Supply of bags to firefighters

Amy continued the distribution of the bags on Friday with delivery to the Randall Fire Department.

Randall Fire Chief Ken Foszcz, who had heard of the project, last week requested a bag for a family displaced by a fire. He said he was grateful to be able to provide immediate assistance to victims of a fire to which his service responded.

“We often wish there was something more we could do for them,” Foszcz said.

Bristol Fire & Rescue expressed its gratitude for the donation from the Wagner Family Fire Fund on its social media page.

“We are not only grateful for this incredibly thoughtful gift, but inspired by the resilience and caring of the Wagner family to turn the tragic circumstances they faced into a program that will immediately put others on the right track,” Bristol Fire & Rescue posted.

National Fire Prevention Week began Sunday and continues through Saturday. Schools in Bristol, Paris, Randall, Wheatland and Central High School are participating this week in a “Safe Quarters” fundraising campaign in support of the Wagner Family Fire Fund.
