Ÿnsect announces new organization and leadership to lead acceleration and growth alongside its ambition to feed the world in a sustainable way


PARIS, November 30, 2021 / PRNewswire / – insect, the world leader in the production of natural insect proteins and fertilizers, today announced the hiring of three new management positions. In January 2021, Ÿnsect entered the food market, followed by external growth in March with the acquisition of the Dutch company Agtech Protifarm. In less than a year, Ÿnsect has accelerated to become one of the world leaders in the alternative food industry. These key recruitments will help lead the acceleration and growth of nsect in its global ambition to find alternative solutions to feed the world.

Joining the Ÿnsect executive committee are Shankar Krishnamoorthy – Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer, Tina lawton – Executive Vice President, Chief Growth Officer and Isabelle Toledano-Koutsouris – EVP, Financial and Administrative Director. Shankar, Tina and Isabelle all come to Ÿnsect with impressive professional experiences that will allow Ÿnsect to expand its activity all over the world. The new executive committee, chaired by Elisabeth Fleuriot, also has two new representatives: Jean-Gabriel Levon, co-founder of Ynsect, for the “Impact” department, and Nicolas Desombre for the “Digital” department.

Shankar Krishnamoorthy – Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer

Shankar Krishnamoorthy has nearly four decades of proven experience as a global executive in the energy sector. Shankar has managed several business entities around the world, reaching the position of member of the executive committee of Engie SA, a global leader in the electricity and gas sector.

Tina lawton – Executive Vice President, Chief Growth Officer

Tina lawton is an international business leader with over 25 years of experience in the life sciences and adjacent industries. Throughout her career, she has engaged a wide variety of stakeholders to achieve common business goals and achieve growth in traditional, startup and digital environments. Ms. Lawton was previously global head of business transformation at Syngenta, a $ 15 billion global producer of agrochemicals and seeds.

Isabelle Toledano-Koutsouris – Executive Vice-President, Financial and Administrative Director

Mrs Isabelle Toledano-Koutsouris is a senior executive with over twenty years of experience in international finance in leading investment banks. Isabelle has extensive expertise in international capital markets, having recently led the Debt Capital Markets group, and later created the Private Capital Markets group at UBS in EMEA. During her time at UBS, Isabelle was a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME), and also as a member of the board of directors of UBS Global Visionaries, a program designed to support entrepreneurs and thought leaders whose companies contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
